The queue knows which car it is
Take the plate at the door, not the name. Drivers wait in the café across the road with a live link, and the board calls a vehicle rather than shouting a surname across a workshop.

The bit you recognise
Six cars in, four bays, and a driver at the counter asking how long — while the person who can answer is under a different car.
Three steps, every visit
They check the car in
A QR at the barrier, or a tablet at the desk. Ask for the vehicle or plate — it is a field you switch on, and you can make it required.
They go and do something else
A free live link on their phone shows where the car is in the line and roughly how long is left. No app, and no cost to you however many cars are in.
You call the car in
One tap moves it to a bay. The board and the driver’s phone update together, and the board can show the number rather than the name.
The three parts you will actually use
Capture the vehicle, not just the person
“Vehicle / plate” is one of the fields the join page and the kiosk can ask for — built for drive-through, valet and click-and-collect. Turn it on, decide whether it is required, and it travels with the visit.
How it worksCheck-in, work, collection — one visit
A car that goes from the desk to a bay to the collection counter keeps one link and one ticket the whole way. The driver is not re-issued a number at each step.
How it worksA “ready for collection” board
One of thirteen board layouts is a two-column collection screen — being prepared on one side, ready to collect on the other. Exactly the shape a handover counter needs.

Questions from car service & workshops
Can I take the registration plate at check-in?
Yes. Vehicle or plate is a field you switch on for the join page and the kiosk, and you choose whether it is optional or required. It was built for drive-through, valet and click-and-collect, and it is not an extra.
Can drivers leave and come back?
That is the point of it. Every visitor gets a live link showing their place and a rough wait, and calling them back costs nothing per person — so a driver can sit in a café rather than in your reception.
What about a car that is finished but not collected?
Put a collection board on the screen — a two-column layout with what is being prepared on one side and what is ready on the other — and the driver’s own link tells them at the same moment.
We have more than one branch. Does that work?
Yes, at the same price per location. You get one dashboard across the group, a per-branch comparison, and a manager who is scoped to their own site and cannot see the other one.
